Alumni of Sabancı University came together at a special event held in London on Saturday, May 9. A total of 114 alumni who are continuing their professional careers and/or pursuing graduate studies in and around London attended the event, which took place at The In and Out Naval and Military Club. The gathering, which was held in a warm, dynamic, and interactive atmosphere, followed similar recent events organized in Munich, Amsterdam, and Boston. The event aimed to strengthen the university’s global alumni network as well as foster collaboration and connections among alumni.
Representing the university administration at the gathering, our President Yusuf Leblebici, Vice President for Education Cem Güneri, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Erkay Savaş, and Director of Corporate Development and Alumni Relations Cenk Bayırlı attended.
As part of the London event, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Leblebici met with alumni and shared updates on the university’s latest initiatives and international achievements. Throughout the event, alumni also had the opportunity to reflect on their career journeys and professional experiences while renewing their strong ties with their alma mater.
Meaningful Support at the London Gathering
This warm gathering in London also contributed to a meaningful act of solidarity. Donations collected during the event provided monthly financial-need scholarships for 15 students. This meaningful contribution by Sabancı University alumni added a strong sense of social support and community spirit to the gathering.
